This comparative study investigates mangrove ecosystems across Sabah and Sarawak, Malaysia, and Brunei. It analyses their ecosystem services, the primary drivers of deforestation, and the trade-offs between conservation and alternative land uses. The research aims to provide an evidence-based understanding of mangrove conversion and propose strategies for long-term sustainability within these regions.
