This study employs a mixed-methods approach to assess the impact of midwifery in Bangladesh. It comprises retrospective (2019–2023) and prospective (2024–2030) modelling of maternal and neonatal lives saved, conducted in eight selected districts and at the national level. The study also includes qualitative research exploring barriers and facilitators to midwifery practice within health facilities in the Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet districts.
